New figures have underlined the ever-increasing appeal of Dubai as a top destination among tourists and businesspeople.

Of course, Dubai is popular among holidaymakers because of the amazing beaches that you can find here, allied to the incredible weather.

And according to the latest figures from Dubai Airports, the state witnessed double-digit traffic growth at DubaiInternational for the seventh consecutive month during February.

Indeed, passenger traffic struck 5,675,246 in February 2014, rising 11.7 per cent from 5,080,360 recorded during the same month last year.

This has, in part, been attributed to the expansion of some airline services in the region.

"We’ve had a great start to the year and February’s traffic gains bring us one step closer to the number one position for international passenger traffic," commented Paul Griffiths, chief executive at Dubai Airports.

"With only a little more than 800,000 passengers separating Dubai International from London Heathrow during 2013, we are on track to take over the top spot by 2015."ADNFCR-408-ID-801706577-ADNFCR
