A new report has revealed that the Hungarian capital of Budapest is the best-value destination for a city break for Brits.

Indeed, the study conducted by Post Office Travel confirmed that Budapest is the most affordable city for Britons for the second successive year.

Research found that prices in the city have fallen by as much as 11 per cent for Brits over the last 12 months, due to a combination of the strong pound and lower hotel costs.

The study is based on the prices of 12 typical items that could conceivably be bought on a city break in different cities around the globe.

It was found that an evening meal for two with wine, drinks, two nights’ accommodation, sightseeing and city transport would set tourists back less than £117 in Budapest.

What's more, the study revealed that Eastern Europe, generally, offers good value for money for British holidaymakers.

But what can you enjoy on a break in Budapest? Well, how about taking the time to enjoy one of the brilliant Budapestianbath parties?

These are especially good during the summer months, when loads of young people head to the Hungarian capital to party the night away in an incredible environment.

There are a number of different baths to choose from and you're sure to have a night to remember.

Alternatively, you could take the time to see the many great sights that the city has to offer. Among the best of these is the Danube Promenade, which a great place to have a stroll and take in the sights and sounds of this destination.

Elsewhere, there is the Matthias Church, which was originally built in 1015 and was later restored in the 19th century.

It ranks among one of the must-see attractions of this amazing city, which is considered to be the cheapest for British holidaymakers.ADNFCR-408-ID-801707850-ADNFCR
