Breaking Bad leads to tourism boost Stateside

A new report has revealed that the influence of a hit US TV show has extended into the tourism industry on the other side of the Atlantic.

Officials in New Mexico have acknowledged that the popularity of Breaking Bad, the show which concerns a drug-dealing teacher, has led to an increase in visitor numbers to the state of New Mexico, where it is set.

The show itself has drawn in a huge audience in the US and further afield, and it’s now clear just how broad its influence actually is.

Indeed, tourism officials in New Mexico are hugely thankful, as the programme has led to a dramatic rise in interest that a regular marketing campaign would have struggled to achieve.

Abta explained: “The hipster vibe continues in New Mexico, home to arguably one of the most popular TV series ever, Breaking Bad.

“The desert state is a spectacular place to act out your TV fantasies and it also has a vibrant Latino and Native American heritage, making it a fascinating holiday destination.”ADNFCR-408-ID-801708026-ADNFCR
