3 Apr 2014

London is set to welcome a brand new tourist attraction that has been transformed over the last couple of years and is set to bring huge pleasure to the public.

The Queen Elizabeth Park was the focal point of the Olympic Games in 2012, which were widely regarded as a huge success among sports fans.

Since then, however, the area has been transformed completely and is set to be opened to the public in the coming days.

By the end of the year, the park will have welcomed more than three million visitors.

It promises to be the “biggest new park in Europe for 150 years", according to the London Legacy Development Corporation, which said that it covers an impressive 230 hectares - the size of Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens combined.

The revamped park will still feature a velodrome and an aquatics centre, among other attractions.ADNFCR-408-ID-801709824-ADNFCR
