Singapore sees investment in tourism industry
7 Apr 2014

The tourism market in Singapore is already a big contributor to the local economy and further investment is being made to ensure that this continues to be the case in the coming years.

The overarching aim behind a new $15 million investment is to capture growth opportunities in the country, which is also known as being a major international business hub.

It has been confirmed that the money is being provided by the Singapore Tourism Board, which has said that it is to be used to support a number of associations that represent popular tourist hotspots, including the Chinatown Business Association and the Little India Shopkeepers.

Last year, the city-state welcomed as many as 15 million people, which was up from 14.5 million the year before, showing that the local tourism industry is on the rise.ADNFCR-408-ID-801710530-ADNFCR
