British holidaymakers are most concerned by cost, research shows
17 Apr 2014

Cost is the most pressing concern for the majority of Brits when it comes to booking a holiday.

That is according to a new survey, which found that 36 per cent of respondents consider this to be the most important factor.

Surprisingly, perhaps, the research confirmed that a mere one in ten prospective holidaymakers base their decision primarily on the destination.

Jason Edwards, managing director of Holiday Gems, remarked: "Our survey reveals 36.8 per cent of respondents state that cost is their number one priority when looking for holidays.

"This in turn is our main offering to customers. We always endeavour to provide the most competitive holidays and flights in the UK."

He added that weather and destination making the top three responses ought to come as no surprise to industry experts.

Earlier this week, a report found that 76 per cent of parents think that holidays are an important time for young people and so they are willing to sacrifice their own happiness for the sake of their offspring.ADNFCR-408-ID-801713768-ADNFCR
