Australia sees rise in tourism investment
28 Apr 2014

A new report has confirmed that the Australian tourism industry has seen a spike in investment over the last 12 months.

Indeed, the latest Tourism Investment Monitor Down Under shows that investment increased by $5.2 billion, to $49.4 billion in 2013.

This was largely due to the value of the Australian dollar increasing the value of early aircraft orders.

Of course, the local tourism industry has been given a boost by the visit of the royals, Prince William, Kate Middleton and their new son George.

It is widely expected that their presence will lead to a dramatic increase in the number of people heading to Australia on their holidays.

Destinations like Sydney and Melbourne are already popular with tourists, but could well see a spike in the coming months and years.

One of the main attractions, of course, is the beautiful weather as well as the spectacular wildlife seen in the outback.ADNFCR-408-ID-801715725-ADNFCR
