Egypt is one of the most popular tourist destinations in North Africa and given the great range of resorts and historic sights that can be found here, it is easy to understand why.

The Pyramids, of course, rank among the most impressive landmarks on earth and if you've never had the opportunity to visit these during your lifetime, it ought to feature prominently on your bucket list.

And it has just been revealed that the remains of around 50 mummies, which are thought to belong to the 18th Pharaonic dynasty, have been discovered in a huge tomb in Egypt's Valley of the Kings in Luxor.

The news was confirmed by antiquities minister Mohamed Ibrahim, who observed that wooden coffins and death masks were found alongside the bodies.

The discovery was actually made by a Swiss team from the University of Basel, who were working with the Egyptian government.ADNFCR-408-ID-801716363-ADNFCR
