Some 3.7 million people visited the city in March, according to the report, which said that this is a 4.3 per cent rise over March 2013.

What's more, it was also the highest total ever recorded in one month.

Reflecting on the figures, Rossi Ralenkotter, the authority’s president and chief executive officer, said: "We’re off to a strong start with a record-setting March and very encouraged that 2014 will be the year we break the 40 million visitor mark.

"The new resorts and attractions opening this year will continue to drive demand and visitation as people seek out new and unique experiences found only in Las Vegas."ADNFCR-408-ID-801716973-ADNFCR
