If you’re planning to head to London some time over the coming months, then high on your list of must-do activities ought to be a trip to one of the capital’s many great festivals that are being staged this summer.

Now, while the most famous of British festivals tend to be staged elsewhere in the UK, it would be remiss to overlook what the city has to offer in this regard.

This summer, in particular, there is a huge amount going on in the city music-wise, so why not take advantage of the great entertainment on offer?

Here’s a guide to some of the best festivals being staged in London over the coming months.

If you haven’t heard of the Lovebox festival, you soon will, as this year’s line-up is sure to excite the fans.

It features M.I.A., as well as rap superstar Nas, who will be performing tracks from his iconic debut album Illmatic, which went on sale 20 years ago this year.

This promises to be an event to remember and assuming the sun shines, there is no better way to spend a summer’s day in the capital.

The Wireless Festival

This year’s line-up for the Wireless Festival is possibly the best yet, featuring a huge array of superstars from both sides of the Atlantic.

Among the biggest names on show are Drake, Labrinth and J Cole, who has emerged on the hip-hop scene over the last few years and already developed a huge fan base.

If you’re a fan of hip-hop music, this is one event that you simply cannot miss.

One Direction

For something a little different, however, how about taking a trip to see the One Direction boys in action at Wembley Stadium?

They are widely recognised as the biggest boyband in the world and this promises to be a day out to remember for their legion of fans.ADNFCR-408-ID-801723316-ADNFCR
