For football fans around the world, the next couple of months are sure to offer plenty of excitement, as all of the best players on the planet will descend on Brazil to enjoy what is sure to be an event to remember.

It is, in fact, one of the most open tournaments seen in many years and regardless of who ultimately triumphs, it is sure to provide lots of great memories.

For the players, too, it is an opportunity not to be missed, as many will be attending the tournament for the first time.

Among those who are in this category is England's Adam Lallana, who said that speculation over his future will not distract him from the task at hand.

"Whether my future gets sorted before or after the World Cup makes no difference to me," he said.

"I am just fully focused on doing well for England and performing as well as I can."

He also dwelt on the incredible journey that he has been on over the last few years, which has seen him rise from the lower leagues to the England team.

Indeed, many so-called experts are tipping him for a starting place in the side during the World Cup.

"Four years ago, I was playing in League One and I was watching the World Cup with my mates," he said.

For fans, meanwhile, there are plenty of reasons to enjoy yourself in this beautiful and historic country, which is home to lots of incredible landmarks and cultural attractions.

Among the best of these is the Christ the Redeemer, which is the dominant sight on the skyline of Rio de Janeiro.

This is also where you will find the world famous Copacabana Beach, where you may even find the odd famous footballer looking to relax a little.ADNFCR-408-ID-801723363-ADNFCR
