New Zealand sees rise in visitor numbers
28 May 2014

New figures have confirmed that an increasing number of people are choosing to take a vacation in New Zealand, one of the world’s most beautiful and dynamic countries.

Indeed, in the year ending April 2014, as many as 2.7 million people visited the country, which is equivalent to a 6.1 per cent year-on-year rise.

One of the main areas of growth was seen from visitors who came from the UK, with figures showing that there was a 2.8 per cent increase for the 12-month period.

Germany, though, saw the highest growth at 16.3 per cent, while the USA saw a rise of 11.3 per cent.

Among the main reasons for the rise is the recent visit by the Royal couple, Prince William and Kate Middleton, as well as their new son George, which served to underline the appeal of this incredible country that has a huge array of attractions for visitors to enjoy.ADNFCR-408-ID-801723753-ADNFCR
