Weather forecasters in the UK are promising that the summer of 2014 will be one to remember and there is no better place to spend a beautiful day than in the historic an dynamic city of London, where there is so much to see and do.

Of course, London is a hive activity throughout the year, but there is no better time to visit the capital than between the months of June and September, when there is an incredible atmosphere throughout London.

Indeed, there are loads of great events set to take place over the coming months and here, we’re going to take a brief look at some of the best of these.

Music festivals

Among the many things to look forward to are an incredible mix of music festivals, which cater for all sorts of tastes and, just as importantly, budgets.

One of the best is Lovebox, which boasts an impressive line-up this year and promises to be lots of fun for those who are lucky enough to get their hands on tickets.

Headline acts include hip-hop legend Nas, who is set to perform tracks from his iconic debut album Illmatic, which is 20 years old this year.

Sports fun

There are also a wide range of great sporting events taking place in the city this summer. One of the best events being held in London is the Wimbledon tennis championships, where Britain’s Andy Murray will be seeking to defend his title.

He will, however, face stern competition from the likes of Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, both of whom have won the event in the past.

There’s also top-class cricket action set to take place at the Oval and Lord’s this summer.

Bars and restaurants

London is also home to a wide array of great bars and restaurants and there is no better time to make the most of these than during the summer months.ADNFCR-408-ID-801724919-ADNFCR
