The upcoming World Cup in Brazil could be illuminated by a host of young players who are set to make their tournament bows at the upcoming event.

That is according to Brazilian football legend Zico, who has spoken of his excitement at seeing these players in action and has said that they can live up to all the hype that surrounds them.

Oscar, Eden Hazard, Mario Götze, Paul Pogba and Thibaut Courtois have all been cited as potential stars of the tournament by the former midfielder.

He does, however, concede that they will all need help from the old guard if they are to do themselves justice at the upcoming tournament in Brazil.

Writing for the Guardian, Zico noted: “The World Cup is a tough competition even for experienced players, so youngsters could obviously feel the heat much more. However, we have examples of players who are able to absorb the psychological impacts.

“The English will certainly remember Michael Owen in 1998. He was fearless against Argentina, scoring that peach of a goal and taking a penalty in the shootout.”

He added that there is much excitement in Brazil surrounding the potential impact of Chelsea superstar Oscar, who despite being overshadowed by team-mate Neymar, could perform an important role for the host country.

For the fans, meanwhile, the tournament also represents an opportunity to see one of the world’s most beautiful countries.

There is plenty to see and do in Brazil, and there are few, if any, better holiday destinations in the world than Rio de Janeiro, which is home to a huge array of attractions.

Christ the Redeemer, for instance, is one of the must-visit attractions of this amazing country, while the beautiful weather that the county has to offer is another perk to holidaying here.ADNFCR-408-ID-801724920-ADNFCR
