Northern Ireland tourism campaign boosted by GoT star

The latest summer marketing campaign by the Northern Ireland Tourist Board (NITB) has received support from some famous faces, as well as featuring tour guides and others who are involved in the tourism industry.

Actress Michelle Fairley, who is currently best known for her role as Catelyn Stark in Game of Thrones, appears in the new advert showcasing the Causeway Coast - the area that she grew up in.

She described the region as ‘one of the most stunning coastlines in the world’, adding: ‘It is full of wonderful memories, people, places and beautiful scenery.’

However, Fairley isn’t the only famous name to be involved in the advertising campaign, as Liam Neeson - who was born in Ballymena - does the voiceover for the 60-second advert.

NITB has stressed that it is the real people who feature in the adverts who are the true stars, though, with the organisation hoping their warmth and friendliness will shine through, encouraging more people to visit their beautiful country.
