Les Arts Decoratifs in Paris offers visitors a wide range of different sorts of object to gaze upon - one of which is toys.

It's 107 Rue de Rivoli venue has its own toy gallery on an upper floor, which has just become home to a new exhibition called 'Les jouets en bois suédois'.

Once you know the English translation, the theme of the exhibition becomes clear: It's a showcase of wooden toys from Sweden.

The exhibition is the work of New York's Bard Graduate Center and features over 250 toys and other items from Rome's Sovrintendenza Capitolina Ai Beni Culturali, Les Arts Decoratifs and Sweden's Brio Lekoseum toy museum.

Organisers say that it offers an exploration of the culture of play in Sweden.

Previous Les Arts Decoratif wood show exhibitions include a 1987 show that displayed toys from a range of nations and time periods.

Other museums in Paris include the Musee Grevin, a well known waxwork venue, and of course the incredibly famous Louvre. Each offers something a little different to visitors.ADNFCR-408-ID-801730912-ADNFCR
