SUN, a dance piece choreographed by Hofesh Shechter, is set to hit the stage at the Sydney Opera House next month.

"Hofesh Shechter’s works are unforgettable. He creates shapes that sear into your mind and never shies away from big themes. Audiences are in for an unforgettable experience,” promised Jonathan Bielski from the iconic Sydney venue.

Performances of SUN - which also features music composed by Shechter - are planned at the Opera House from August 27th to August 30th this year.

Hofesh Shechter Company's most recent visit to perform in Sydney came in 2010, when it presented audiences with a piece called Political Mother.

Tickets are currently on sale for SUN, starting at $49 Australian.

The Opera House describes Shechter as famed for pieces that take choreography to its rawest state, calling his work confronting and, much of the time, challenging.ADNFCR-408-ID-801733380-ADNFCR
