World War One art show to open in Portland, USA
14 Aug 2014

Portland Art Museum is set to put a range of art on show, mainly from its own collection, as part of an upcoming First World War themed exhibition.

Starting on August 30th this year and going on until December 14, the display is called This Is War! Graphic Arts from the Great War and will be on show at the museum which can be found on Park Avenue, Portland, Oregon.

It comes as the world marks 100 years since the beginning of World War One, which Britain first became an official part of on August 4th 1914.

The display is set to include etchings, woodcuts, drawings and posters by artists from countries such as Germany, America and England.

One of the most beautiful spots in Portland has to be the Portland Japanese Garden, which could also offer a good place for people to be alone with their thoughts after considering the issues raised in the World War One exhibition.ADNFCR-408-ID-801742087-ADNFCR
