Asked which famous face they would most like to have sat in the seat along from them when taking a flight, Brits have picked people from the Royal Family as the most popular option.

It seems 13.5 per cent of Brits would like to be able to sit alongside a royal on their flight, 12.5 per cent would like Marilyn Monroe to sit by them and 12.1 per cent picked Elvis Presley, London City Airport research shows.

Footballer David Beckham and famous prime minister Winston Churchill were tied at four with 11.1 per cent of the vote each. At five, Stephen Fry took in 10.6 per cent of votes.

The research also asked people who they would least like to spend a flight next to.

Nearly half - 48 per cent - said someone with body odour would be the type of passenger they least want to fly next to. ADNFCR-408-ID-801743224-ADNFCR
