Newark Team GB triathlete, James Lapish, recently got a sponsorship deal from Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield, where he also works.

Mr Lapish is an air traffic controller, as well as a triathlete, and taking part in this week's ITU World Triathlon Series Grand Final, which is being held in Canada.

Sponsorship is helping with the cost of Mr Lapish participating in the Age Group sprint - a 5km run, 20km bike ride and 750m swim - at the event, as well as training kit.

“It is a dream come true to represent Team GB and the support of the airport has been first class," said the triathlete.

Airport managing director, Steve Gill, commented: “We are extremely proud to sponsor James."

The Triathlon Series Grand Final finishes on September 1st, and involves participants from a range of nations.ADNFCR-408-ID-801745273-ADNFCR
