Among the upcoming events at Tate Britain in London is a BP Spotlights display focusing on essayist and critic William Hazlitt.

Kicking off later this month, William Hazlitt: Through the Eyes of a Critic will examines pieces by JMW Turner, Joshua Reynolds and other artists, as they were seen by Hazlitt.

Beginning September 29th, it will be in place until April 5th next year.

Hazlitt was a trained painter himself, as well as a very famous essayist during the 19th century.

At the same time, a range of Turner's works will feature in Late Painting: Turner Set Free, a large exhibition running September 10th to January 25th at the gallery.

Elsewhere in the city, the National Gallery's Rembrandt: The Late Works will begin October 15th, running to the 18th of January.ADNFCR-408-ID-801746801-ADNFCR
