Photomonth to return to London
8 Sep 2014

Photomonth East London International Photography Festival is to return to the UK capital next month.

The event has been running for more than a decade and allows emerging artists to showcase their work alongside that of the most globally renowned photographers.

More than 150 exhibitions are being staged as part of the festival, so visitors to London will have the opportunity to take in an impressive selection of pictures across numerous venues.

Some will be held in universities and libraries, while others will take place in cinemas, cafes, shops and galleries.

Visitors should therefore get a great opportunity to not only enjoy some remarkable images, but also explore the sights and sounds of east London itself.

Attendees will also get the chance to attend seminars and talks by the artists themselves, as well as a number of workshops.

As a result, it could offer a rare chance for aspiring photographers to learn some tricks of the trade and be inspired by some of the best in the business.

Indeed, Photomonth East London International Photography Festival is being billed as an effort to reach the widest possible audience and highlight the diversity of contemporary photography.

It should therefore appeal both to those who are experts in the field and novices who are keen to learn more.

Photomonth East London International Photography Festival kicks off on October 1st and runs through to the end of November.

Organisers promise that it will be "bubbling over with brilliant images" and be largely basely around the theme of Imagining the East End, so it should offer a unique perspective into this part of London.

"Since 2001 the festival has established itself as a major international event - bringing innovation and inspiration through the Open Call for exhibitions and encouraging participation in the wide variety of events on offer," they state.

Organisers add that the exhibitions will give exposure to photographers from across the globe and present work of the highest possible standard.ADNFCR-408-ID-801747259-ADNFCR
