Spain has long been one of the top holiday destinations for Brits

Spain and Italy ‘increasingly popular among Brits’
24 Sep 2014

Majorca and Ibiza are the two most popular destinations for UK travellers.

At least that is according to recent research published by Abta - the Travel Association.

Flights to both Majorca and Ibiza rose by 68 per cent and 46 per cent from last year, the report found.

In addition, Italy was also named as a top holiday destination for Brits, due to its “great value hotel deals”.

For example, Florence has proved particularly popular among the rich and famous last season, with the wedding of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, no doubt boosting its appeal.

Flights to Turkey, Greece and Malta were also a top choice among many UK travellers.

However, traditional destinations such as Florida, Orlando and Dubai continued to be popular among Brits, with all of them enjoying a 100 per cent rise in popularity since last summer.

Abta also revealed that more and more Brits were also heading off to destinations such as the Caribbean and Morocco .ADNFCR-408-ID-801750270-ADNFCR
