Cambridge has seen its number of tourists rise by more than a million over the past three years, with a total of 5,362,300 trips being made to the city in 2013, compared to 2010’s 4,080,300 visits.

The Economic Impact of Tourism report for Cambridge published the news, emphasising that tourists are beginning to take note as to just how much the scenic city has to offer.

Cambridge offers the quintessential British experience, through its beautiful churches, gardens, galleries and bridges. Those who visit the city must take the time to experience Cambridge’s right of passage and go punting on the River Cam.

The city’s world-famous university is a definite must-see. Having seen academics such as Stephen Hawking, Issac Newton and Charles Darwin pass through its doors, it’s no wonder that the number of visitors to Cambridge is continuing to grow.
