Top 3 Paris museums to open 7 days a week
3 Oct 2014

The top three museums in Paris will stay open seven days a week by 2017 in a bid to accommodate the high number of visitors who wish to experience some of the city’s greatest offerings.

The French government announced that this will refer to the Louvre Museum, the Palace of Versailles and the Musée d'Orsay. It is also hoped that aside from helping with overcrowding in the museums, this move will also continue to attract more tourists to the city.

At present, the Palace of Versailles and Musée d'Orsay close on a Monday, while the Louvre Museum is closed on a Tuesday. With the Louvre being the world’s most popular museum, having seen nine million visitors from all over the globe pass through its doors in 2013, this addition to its opening times will no doubt be cause for celebration for those planning a visit.ADNFCR-408-ID-801752532-ADNFCR
