Those planning a trip to London must ensure they take the time to visit a mysterious new exhibition that is opening up at the Museum of London, Sherlock Holmes: The Man Who Never Lived and Will Never Die.

Celebrate the world’s most famous detective who has kept millions of people entertained since Arthur Conan Doyle created the iconic Sherlock Holmes novels in the 19th century, keeping readers and viewers gripped and delighted all across the four corners of the world.

This will be the first exhibition based solely on the detective in London since 1951 and it will explore the transition that Sherlock Holmes has made since his literary creation, to the various stage and film productions, right up to this year’s immensely popular BBC adaptation, Sherlock, which stars British actor Benedict Cumberbatch as the detective.

The exhibition will also transport visitors to Victorian London, with artefacts, films and paintings creating the atmosphere of what was Conan Doyle’s London which he envisaged Sherlock in.

Sherlock Holmes: The Man Who Never Lived and Will Never Die will be exhibited at the Museum of London from October 17th until April 12th 2015.
