Geneva launches a Girls’ Guide
29 Oct 2014

Grab the girls and head to Geneva for the perfect getaway, as Geneva Tourism has launched the Geneva Girls’ Guide.

The Swiss city has launched this new campaign to really hone in on the increasing number of women who are jetting away for city breaks with their friends. It believes that it is the perfect destination for a girls’ holiday due to its idyllic and aesthetic setting as well as the numerous amount of activities on offer.

The guide is made up of a number of places that must be visited, which have been selected by local female representatives who are passionate about the city and all it has to offer, and is available in English and French.

The Geneva Girls’ Guide is divided into a total of eight sections, offering advice and tips on shopping, beauty and wellness, activities, brunch, tea and coffee, going out, comfort food, as well as the perfect weekend.

At present it is only available from Geneva Tourism’s Tourist Information Center.

It comes as little surprise that the Swiss city is wanting to further its appeal in tourism and focus on the various kind of visitors the city has. It was recently voted ‘Europe’s leading city break destination’ at the World Travel Awards and has long been a popular place to visit.

The Geneva Girls’ Guide is actually the first time that a tourism office has created such a concise guide that is dedicated towards woman and with its launch on Monday (October 27th), only time will tell if it will play a part in continuing Geneva’s success as a popular tourist destination for women.

Of course, Geneva is a fantastic city to visit for all, with a plethora of tourist attractions to see, including the Jet d’Eau, which sees water jet 140 metres high into the air, as well as the European headquarters for the United Nations.ADNFCR-408-ID-801757154-ADNFCR
