Munich music in May
17 March 2006
May is the time to drink a coffee to keep awake and head to Munich to enjoy a night of music.
The Long Night of Music, on May 27th from 8pm to 3am, is a great free event for lovers of all kinds of music.
Over 100 venues and locations open their doors and 400 concerts take place giving visitors and locals the chance to explore the city at night and take in some great music.
Last year, despite the rain, 15,000 music lovers took to the streets or were ferried around town by the free bus service to enjoy opera, jazz, blues, pop and salsa, among very many other genres of music.
This year the 250th anniversary of the birth of Mozart is set to dominate proceedings but the same varied programme will be in place.
