Delta to serve all 50 states
24 March 2006

Delta Air Lines has become the first passenger carrier to provide services to all 50 US states.

From 29th June, when the first Bombardier CRJ aircraft touches down in Wilmington, Delaware, it will be possible to fly to and from every state in the US on Delta flights.

Two flights are scheduled each day between Wilmington and Atlanta International Airport, with special introductory discounts on offer for the first three weeks.

'Delta is proud to become the only airline to offer our customers service in every state of the country where they live, play and do business,' commented Bob Cortelyou, vice president of Delta's network planning department.

'As we restructure our network to better meet customers' needs for domestic and international travel, Delta customers can count on us to take them to more places at home and abroad than any other US airline thanks to the reach and convenience of our increasingly global network.'

Delta is the largest airline serving the domestic US market, flying to 240 destinations across the country.

It is also the second largest airline in the world with flights covering 593 destinations in 90 countries, continually expanding its services by 50 more destinations each year.
