bmi to fly from A to A
28 March 2006
British Midlands have begun flying passengers along their latest flight route, from Aberdeen to Amsterdam.
As of yesterday travellers have been able to travel to the Dutch capital, taking advantage of the three daily flights in the week designed to allow a full working day in the capital.
All these flights, along with the three weekend services on offer, use bmi's fleet of 42 Embraer jet aircraft.
'Amsterdam is a popular business and leisure destination as the national, financial and cultural capital of the Netherlands, but it's also an important international gateway for the North East of Scotland,' said bmi regional's managing director, Crawford Rix.
'We remain firmly committed to expanding our flight offering from Aberdeen, our home airport, and I'm confident that that our new service will not only be welcomed by the discerning business traveller, but by all travellers from and visitors to Scotland's North East who have a strong desire for quality and choice.'
Second only to British Airways in the UK at Heathrow Airport, bmi maintains a reputation for punctuality on its services.
It has won the Travel Weekly Best UK Domestic Airline award 14 times in a row for the 1,700 flights it operates every week.
