Rhine in flames this summer
03 April 2006
The Rhine will come alive in May this year as a series of pyrotechnical events will take place along the historic river.
This annual event is one of the most spectacular seen on the river and is all the more amazing for the fact that it is not centred in one location.
Rather, the fireworks and celebrations take place all along the river side and encompass areas such as Linz, Bonn and Koblenz.
Renowned across Europe for the sheer extravagance and wonder of the display, the annual event is one not to be missed as each area along the Rhine apparently looks to be trying to outdo the last.
Although the event begins in May, between Linz and Bonn, it carries on throughout the summer months until finally coming to a conclusion in the twin towns of St Goar and St Goarshausen in September.
