BA cooks best
10 April 2006
British Airways (BA) serves the best food in the sky, according to a new poll.
A survey of 2,300 travellers put BA's in flight cuisine just above Singapore Airlines, despite problems the airline suffered during the summer with its catering provider.
The importance of good food was shown, as after larger seats, it was the main feature of flying that travellers would be willing to pay extra for.
The TripAdvisor poll also gave the title of best amenities to BA, narrowly beating Virgin.
The most important feature for travellers was found to be clean and uncramped toilets, followed by a clean blanket or pillow.
For entertainment just under half of travellers said that a video screen for every seat was important, along with on-demand movies and internet access.
Most travellers expected complementary water, followed by fruit and vegetables and wine.
