BA flies more

British Airways (BA) carried 5% more passengers in April compared with last year.
Data released by BA shows 3m people flew with the airline last month.
While most flights were to Europe - around two-thirds the best area of growth was to Africa and the Middle East with 17.1% more passengers.
The airline was also able to fly more people with 4.2% more capacity. The biggest growth in capacity - matching the rise in passengers - was to Africa and the Middle East where BA was able to fly 13.8% more people.
The rise in capacity to the Middle East and Africa followed a decline in seat availability to Europe and within the UK of 3.4%
There were also extra seats to the Americas and Asia Pacific.
