Aeromexico links La Paz to LA
09 May 2006
Aeromexico is to start flights between Los Angeles and the Mexican city of La Paz.
The twice weekly service will join California's largest city and colonial city and capital of the Mexican state of Southern Baja California.
'The new ongoing Los Angeles to La Paz service is the result of a very successful trial in April,' said Jose Kuri, senior vice president of Aeromexico's US division.
'Los Angeles metropolitan travellers can take advantage of our convenient non-stop flights to experience the natural beauty of Southern Baja California.'
The sea is La Paz's main attraction with many water sports, fishing and whale watching all available.
La Paz is known as the city of pearls, and although the pearl industry fell into decline around 50 years ago, within the historic town centre many shops still sell pearls.
Aeromexico currently flies to over 40 cities in Mexico and 14 cities in the US.
