Aer Lingus prepares five new destinations for winter
09 June 2006

Aer Lingus has announced it will be introducing five new destinations.

From October, the airline will fly to Newcastle and Turin from Dublin and Madrid, Lanzarote and Prague from Cork.

In total there will be an additional 34 flights a week as Aer Lingus will also be extending its services from Cork to Berlin, Birmingham, Faro and Tenerife and from Dublin to Poznan and Seville so they run throughout the year and not just over the summer.

Aer Lingus chief executive Dermot Mannion said: 'The introduction of these new routes reaffirms Aer Lingus' commitment to providing direct, low fares access for Irish customers to new destinations as well as providing real growth opportunities in inbound tourism from emerging markets.

'Additional capacity and the extension of year round services on a number of existing Europeans routes is in direct response to strong customer demand.'
