Stars come out for Paris tennis
12 June 2006
Among the crowds of fans at this year's French Open were Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Aniston, although not together.
Aniston, the former Friends star was courtside with The Break-Up co-star Vince Vaughn to see Rafael Nadal win in four sets against Roger Federer in the final.
It was not the first time the couple had enjoyed a sporting night out as last month they were spotted at a baseball game in Chicago.
Meanwhile, the Titanic star DiCaprio hiding beneath a baseball cap and dark glasses - also enjoyed the final in the company of his mother and grandmother.
Choosing to add a major sporting event to a holiday is becoming increasing popular, not only with football fans heading to Germany.
Tennis tournaments across Europe this summer after Wimbledon include the Allianz Suisse Open in Gstaad (10-16 July), the Mercedes Cup in Stuttgart (17-23 July) and the Dutch Open Tennis in Amersfoort (17-23 July).
This summer the Formula 1 season continues with races in Montreal (25 June), Indianapolis (2 July), Magny-Cours in France (16 July), Hockenheim (30 July) and Budapest (6 August).
Golf-lovers can enjoy one of over 40 tournaments happening in Europe and the US in July and August.
