Denise Van Outen in the US

British star Denise Van Outen is planning a trip to America where she will launch a new TV show.
The former Chicago actress is not heading back to the stage, but will be helping others to achieve that dream.
Van Outen is making a name for herself in the US and her latest show, Grease: You're the One I Want, is certain to be a hit.
The 32-year-old will host the programme, which sees a panel of judges scanning the US, looking for the next star of Grease the musical.
'I actually auditioned for Grease, the London production, when I was 17 years old and I really, really wanted to play Sandy,' revealed Van Outen.
'I didn't get it, which is why I wanted to be involved in this show... because I've been through it, so I know exactly what they're going through. I cried for days when I didn't get the role, I was so upset. It meant so much to me.'
Alongside Van Outen will be US TV personality Billy Bush and a panel of judges who will choose which two people will take the roles of Danny and Sandy and appear on Broadway.
Van Outen is not the only British star hosting a reality show in the states, with Cat Deeley currently hosting a show about dancing.
