Stimulate all Six Senses in Thailand
09 February 2007

The creators of the new Thai spa Six Senses Erawan were guided by the mystic principles of feng shui when modelling the layout of the staggeringly lovely 3,000 square metre site.

But the treatments on offer will reflect a whole range of eastern cultural inspirations from China, India, Indonesia and Thailand, with energy healing and herbal steam rooms in the Indian Pavilion and a Thai massage school where guests can learn the art for themselves.

Spa breaks don't get much more romantic than wallowing in a watsu pool set amidst a thrillingly risky jungle with your partner located in the Indonesian zone, or luxuriating in an outdoor jungle shower by your villa.

But relaxation is only the order of the way if you want it to be the active visitor will also be encouraged to enhance their overall wellness profile by tackling the nature jogging trail or undertaking kinesis training.

And once they've worked up an appetite, guests are treated to fresh seafood and, for the daring, a raw food restaurant situated right at the tip of the island, where they can enjoy their meal surrounded on all sides by ocean views.
