Fergie 'too drunk' to fly
14 March 2007
Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie
real name Stacy Ann Ferguson
was reportedly barred from boarding a Virgin Atlantic flight to the UK after she turned up at Los Angeles airport slightly inebriated.
Bandmates Will.I.AM, Apl.DE.AP and Taboo got on board, but 31-year-old Fergie was stopped by airline officials and instructed to remove her luggage from the plane, according to a report in the Daily Mirror.
'She was falling all over the place and had to be supported. She was in no state to fly,' a source told the paper.
'When she was prevented from boarding she couldn't believe it,' the onlooker continued.
As her bandmates jetted off on the plane delayed one hour while Fergie's luggage was found in the hold and removed the singer reportedly remained in LA with two aides.
An airline spokesperson told the Mirror that 'a female passenger was denied from boarding as she appeared intoxicated and was therefore unsuitable for travel,' but refused to confirm the identity of the woman.
At least unlucky Fergie enjoyed a little longer in LA the star-studded city where Hollywood dreams are made and broken.
