Aussies offered cut-price BA flights to London
17 April 2007
London's lure for Australian tourists would appear to be potent, if the proliferation of Walkabout outlets and the ubiquity of the Antipodean accent is anything to go by.
That being the case, Aussies getting itchy feet as the winter descends on the southern hemisphere might be tempted to up sticks as British Airways announces it has just released a series of discounted World Traveller and World Traveller Plus tickets from Australia to London.
World Traveller and World Traveller Plus are designed to serve tourists looking for an upgrade on an economy class seat for long-haul flights where confined space can be uncomfortable for whom first class prices are out of reach.
The BA flights, departing from Sydney and Melbourne, will whisk intrepid voyagers half-way across the globe before exposing them to the British summer sunshine.
Even if British summertime is a little underwhelming compared to the year-round glare south of the equator, the opportunity to cash in on "very special prices" is not to be missed, claimed British Airways regional general manager Roger Burr.
The discounted tickets are available for designated flights between May 1st and May 27th.
