Virgin celebrates staff achievement

Virgin Atlantic Airways is celebrating its 600th Wings Ceremony, which sees in-flight staff become fully-trained.

A total of 21 staff have recently received their wings and will now work as in-flight beauty therapists.

The staff in question have been put through their paces during a nine-week training period and are now ready to take to the skies.

'We are very proud to have trained these beauty therapists and receiving wings is a fantastic achievement so they should be very proud of themselves,' said Virgin Atlantic chairman Sir Richard Branson.

'I wish them the very best of luck in their new roles and I am certain that they will go on to be a great success.'

Friends and family of the newest crew members have been invited to the 600th Wings Ceremony to see their loved ones become fully-fledged members of the Virgin in-flight team.
