Tourists accidentally end up on the West Bank

A group of Japanese tourists who were enjoying a holiday in Israel found themselves in undesirable territory following a mistake.
The group of 15 visitors were on an excursion that was supposed to be heading to Afula in the north of the country, reports daily newspaper Maariv.
However, a mix-up over the pronunciation of the region they wanted to go to led to them spending the night in a volatile area on the West Bank.
The tourists had bought their tickets from the main bus station in Jerusalem but pronounced the L in Afula in a way that made it sound like an R, leading to the man who sold them the tickets giving them a pass to Ofra.
A few hours later, the group arrived at the high-security entrance to the settlement and asked guards how to get to their hotel.
They were quickly informed that there are no hotels in that part of the world and the mistake was highlighted.
The group were forced to spend a night in the region before boarding a bus to Afula the next day.
