Jazz festival swings into Brussels

Music lovers from around the world will be descending on Brussels this year for the 12th annual Jazz Festival.
The Belgian capital will come to life with the sounds and sights of one of the most eagerly anticipated events in the musical calendar.
Over 125 concerts are due to take place throughout the city during the three-day event and around 450 musicians are set to perform.
The majority of performances will take place in Brussels' main squares, while over 50 other venues, including bars, clubs and hotels will also be used.
Although primarily based on jazz, the music on offer is as varied as those who turn out to listen, with pure jazz, latino, funk, rock and blues all on offer.
The Jazz Marathon in Brussels is due to take place between 24 May and 26 May and this year will see the introduction of a new stage.
European Jazz @ Brussels is designed to showcase the best of European talent and will feature performances by acts from Hungary, Italy, Holland, Estonia, France, Spain and Bulgaria.
