Brisbane River prepares to sing

Holidaymakers considering a Christmas trip to Brisbane, Australia may have the opportunity to enjoy one of the city's most impressive spectacles on 23 December.
In the Night the River Sings festival a number of private and commercial vessels take to the water, adorned with an array of lights and decorations, to try to outdo one another with their impressive displays.
Spectators on the south bank of the Brisbane River will also be entertained by music from the local radio station 4KQ and a fireworks display.
Onlookers can also get closer to the show, as some ships invite visitors on board to enjoy a meal as they cruise on the water.
Brisbane is the capital of the Australian state of Queensland, on the country's eastern coast.
It is a popular spot for people travelling to Australia and includes popular recreational areas such as the South Bank Parklands and the Brisbane City Botanic Gardens.
