Tourists invited to visit Tutankhamun

Despite mysterious stories about a curse surrounding his mummified body, Egyptian pharaoh Tutankhamun has been fully revealed to the public to the first time and is set to become something of a tourist attraction.
The remains of the former king of Egypt were first discovered in 1922, causing an international sensation, but have now been moved from their ornate sarcophagus to a climate-controlled case where experts say they will be better preserved.
Visitors to Tutankhamun's resting place in the Valley of the Kings in Luxor, Egypt will now be able to get a closer look of the mummified face of the former pharaoh.
Egyptian head of antiquities Zahi Hawass told the Associated Press: 'I can say for the first time that the mummy is safe and the mummy is well-preserved.'
He added: 'All the tourists who will enter this tomb will be able to see the face of Tutankhamun for the first time.'
Tutankhamun is thought to have ruled Egypt from the age of nine to his mysterious death when he was just 19.
Despite being a fairly insignificant ruler in historical terms, he is arguably the most famous of all Egypt's pharaohs owing to the discovery of his nearly intact tomb by British archaeologist Howard Carter 75 years ago.
