Movie stars entertain the crowds in Hong Kong
12 November 2007

Hong Kong was whipped into a frenzy this week when movie stars Christian Bale and Morgan Freeman arrived in the city.

The A-list pair were in Hong Kong to film the latest scenes for new Batman movie The Dark Knight and were given a warm welcome by local movie fans.

Bale, who plays Batman in the new movies featuring the caped crusader, kept the crowds happy by offering a personal address, Hello magazine reports.

'I look forward to climbing to the top of your highest buildings and jumping off of them as Batman,' he said.

The new film will mainly see the characters in Hong Kong's business district, which will be the first time that Batman has taken his crime-fighting crusade outside the boundaries of Gotham City.

Hong Kong is one of the major travel hubs in the Far East, boasting landmarks such as the Tian Tan Buddha, the tallest outdoor Buddha statue in the world, and the Victoria Peak mountain.
