Swiss opens new lounges in Geneva
19 November 2007
Premium passengers travelling through Geneva airport with Swiss International Air Lines can now access more lounge facilities, with two new customer areas opened over the weekend.
First class customers will be able to use one lounge and Miles&More Senator travellers will have access to the other.
Premium passengers with Lufthansa and other members of the Star Alliance group will also be entitled to use the facilities.
Swiss now has three lounges at Geneva, following the opening of its business class passenger facility last May. The airline's entire lounge area covers 845 square metres and can accommodate up to 200 people at a time.
At the official opening of the new passenger facilities, Swiss chief executive Christoph Franz said: 'It's not just in the air that we face a daily fight with our competitors. The battle for customers begins on the ground.'
The three Swiss lounges at Geneva airport are located between passport control and the hub's security checkpoint.
