Lufthansa, TAM to boost Germany-Brazil services
05 December 2007

Air services between Germany and Brazil are set to improve next year as a result of a codesharing agreement between Lufthansa and TAM.

Customers with the Brazilian carrier will have access to Lufthansa's flights from Sao Paulo to its bases in Frankfurt and Munich.

From there, travellers will be able to connect to destinations including Dusseldorf, Hamburg and Stuttgart in Germany as well as Zurich and Geneva in Switzerland.

Lufthansa's passengers flying from Frankfurt will have access to TAM's network within Brazil via Sao Paulo, which extends to Rio de Janeiro, Porto Alegre, Brasilia, Recife and other locations.

Frankfurt became TAM's fourth destination within Europe on November 30th, when the airline began flights with capacity to carry up to 267 passengers.

Lufthansa is Germany's largest airline, with over 50 million passengers a year and flights to countries all around the world, including Argentina, Australia, India, Thailand and China.
