Swiss unveils new Zurich lounge
22 January 2008

Swiss International Airlines has announced further investment in its ground product and services with new facilities at Zurich airport.

The carrier said that 'pride of place' among its new facilities goes to its new first-class lounge, which it claims offers more comfort and privacy.

Also unveiled was a landside airport ticket office and an enlarged and redesigned first-class check-in lounge.

Swiss claimed that the new facilities at Zurich airport represent another step in its plans to improve its ground products and services.

Chief executive officer Christoph Franz said: 'Our customers' journey begins well before takeoff and that's why we also offer them top quality on the ground.'

The national airline has recently opened new lounges at Geneva and New York JFK and has now turned its attention to Zurich.

Zurich's first-class lounge includes separate VIP areas, business offices with laptops and free internet connections, dayrooms with showers, a TV area and a library.
