Emirates to boost frequency on Dubai-Houston route
31 January 2008
Emirates has announced that it is to increase the number of flights available on its route linking Dubai to Houston, Texas.
The carrier only recently launched the non-stop service between Dubai and Houston on a thrice-weekly basis.
This will be boosted to a daily connection from 1 February, following high demand for seats on the flights.
Ghaith Al Ghaith, Emirates' executive vice-president of worldwide commercial operations, said: 'As predicted, the Emirates non-stop service between Dubai and Houston has been popular among business and leisure travellers alike.'
The Dubai-based airline claims that its 'outstanding inflight services', including its digital widescreen entertainment system, distinguish it from other carriers.
Its route to Houston uses a Boeing 777 offering eight first-class suites, 42 lie-flat seats in business class and 216 economy spaces.
The Texan city is Emirates' second gateway in the US, after New York, which the carrier has served since 2004.
